Museums helps us to conserve our history so that the future generation will see some part of our history. Museums are seen as one of the best representations to diversified and dynamic cultures, rich history, artistic and scientific value in our nation.
Kenya is putting more effort to enrich it culture by building more museums. The following are some of the museum that Kenya is building:
Ngaren Museum
The museum was commissioned by the late Dr. Richard Leaky, a Kenyan paleoanthropologist, the digital state-of-the-art museum will study the discovery of human evolution. Initially, the museum was to be built in Turkana county, however, later on it location was relocated to Kajiado county.
Africa Underwater Museum
This museum will be located in Kilifi county. It’s major exploration will involve Arabic and Portuguese shipwrecks by scuba toursits. The Africa Underwater Museum is estimated to attract 90,000-200,000 tourist every year upon completion and will be a chance to explore East Africa’s rich culture.
Uhuru Gardens National Monument and Museum
The museum was recently launched by President Uhuru Kenyatta during 2022 Madaraka day and potrays Kenya’s early history, since 1800 to the growth that has led to where Kenya is today.
