Earlier, this month Kenyans filled telecommunication shops to register their SIM Card, as the Communications authority had ordered. CA wanted all Kenyans to update their details by providing the latest photos among other requirements to their telecommunication service providers.
Due to complaints from most the Kenyans about the inconveniences encountered with the new directive with services subscribers rushing for the deadline, CA decided to take a U-turn on the directive.
The authority now says that now all Kenyans will be required to register their SIM Cards afresh. Director-General Ezra Chiloba has clarified that only unregistered lines are to be listed. To check if you are listed among those who are not registered dial *106#.
