The Power company(KPLC) is still on the moves of testing the new revolutionary technology that will enable clients to share tokens. The new token sharing technology was launched on Thurday, July 6, during the Kenya Power Manufacturers and Innovation Expo 2022.
The firms new innovation will enable Kenyan to share electricity tokens with their friends and neighbours who are on the pre-paid option. According to a statement by the, Numero IoT CEO, Morris Mbetsa, the company has already conducted tests in various part of Nairobi and the project is expected to be piloted in the coming days.
KPLC is focussing on the growing technology to increase sales and cut down on any losses incurred through illegal electricity connection.. Te compan has already laid out smart meters for businesses that allows it to monitor connections in real-time events. These smart meters have already been implemented within some part of the country.
